While the awning was rolled up we unhooked the legs from the trailer and swung them out to wash behind them.

Release a sticky awning ratchet lever by releasing the awning lever with one hand while pulling down gently on the awning support arm with your other hand.
There can be an obstruction in the arms or rust build up on the strut.
